Called Pig because it is situated on a site with spectacular views of Muckish Mountain, and the name Muckish is derived from the Irish word “Muc” which is “pig” in English. The design development drew inspiration from Liam McCormick’s Creeslough church whose form is modelled on the Muckish Mountain’s shape. The Pig House’s form was inspired by the classical table mountain view.
