This consists of a fit out of a speculative office building in Letterkenny with a deep plan, but with high level skylights in the middle. The central feature is the surgery’s administration and reception desk. Its shape is based on Oscar Niemeyer’s own house in Brazil, and its organic form works well in opposition to the orthogonality of the surgeries and office areas. The main HSE reception counter is its Venus shell opening making clear its openness and welcome.
